History

Greenway Music opened for its first lesson on 12th July 2004, at Ashtenne Business Park, Radway Green, Alsager. After 2 weekes of frenetic activity to convert the former fast food takeaway, the unit was transformed into a comfortable teaching/rehearsal space.

In March 2006 we opened a second venue to house a recording studio, doubling up as extra teaching rooms, at 98A Crewe Road (the current location).

At the end of February 2009 we closed the Radway Green site and moved all operations to the more central Crewe Road site.

Each year a concert is held to showcase the developing talents of students and ensembles. The first of these, held in July 2005, was at Christ Church Hall on Church Road, Alsager.

The following year it moved to Brandy’s at MMU Cheshire, before moving to the Alsager Civic Centre in 2010.
